1. Who I am and how to contact me

This website (ikeibebugwu.com) is operated by an independent hiring and career consultancy based in West Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, referred to in this policy as “the business”. The business is responsible for the personal information collected through this website and has designated a Privacy Officer who is accountable for compliance with this policy.

The Privacy Officer can be reached through the contact form on the website. Please select or mention “Privacy” in your message so it is directed correctly.

If the business registers under a new name or incorporates, this policy will be updated to reflect that change.

2. What this policy covers

This policy explains how personal information is collected, used, shared, stored, and protected when you:

  • visit or browse the website;
  • send a message through the contact form or book a meeting;
  • buy or download resources, or create an account;
  • sign up for emails.

This policy does not cover websites or services run by others, including websites linked from this one. It also does not cover consulting engagements. When an organization engages the business, any personal information shared as part of that work, such as information about job candidates or employees, is handled under the written agreement with that organization and in line with that organization’s own privacy policies.

  • Contact form messages. When you use the contact form, the business receives your name, email address, and anything you choose to include in your message.
  • Meeting requests. When you book a meeting, the business collects your email address and whether you would like to meet virtually or in person.
  • Email sign-ups. When you join the email list, the business collects your email address and, if you provide them, your name and interests. A record of your consent is also kept, including the date, time, IP address, and the form used to sign up.
  • Purchases. When you buy a resource, the business collects your name, email address, billing address, the products purchased, and your order details. This information is needed to process payment, deliver files, and keep tax records.
  • Payment information. Card details are entered directly into secure fields provided by Stripe, the payment processor. The business never sees or stores your full card number.
  • Accounts (optional). If you create an account to re-download purchased resources, the business stores your username, email address, password (in encrypted form, which cannot be read), order history, and download history.

3.2 Information collected automatically

  • Server logs. Like most websites, the hosting provider automatically records technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, and the date and time of each visit. This is used to keep the website secure and running properly.
  • Download records. When a purchased file is downloaded, the date, time, and IP address are recorded to help prevent misuse of download links.
  • Fraud prevention. On checkout pages, Stripe collects information about your device and how you interact with the payment form to detect and prevent fraud.
  • Essential cookies. The website uses a small number of cookies needed for it to work. See Section 8.
